Service Project session 3
Shana, my student already knew alot about horses because she takes english riding lessons. But when I started asking her questions about her favorite horse she realized she didn't know much about it. I would ask her questions about the stuff we researched and she would recall it. The open ended questions worked best with our project just because our project was mainly about detail of a horse. Pretty much I typed and wrote everything but she told me what to write. On the movie however we found a website that told about the Appaloosa horse and we highlighted what we thought was necessary and then divided it to say it on the movie. Everything was equally divided through the whole process of the project. Before this session I looked up stuff on the horse so I was knowledgeable also so I could ask proper questions that would help advance us in the movie making.

I really like the finished project. It's good to see that what we learned in class can be passed on to our future students. You demonstrate in this video that it can be done by younger people. The movie was great and taught me a little about the Appaloosa horse.
ReplyDeleteYou picked a great topic for the student to study since she already knew a lot about horses. Isn't it weird we just learned all of this and we are already teaching! Good job!
